Butter yellow and powder blue, chocolate tailoring, crisp whites, and florals that looked almost as though they had grown into the surroundings. There was something wonderfully put together about their wedding at Jumeirah Bali, but never in a way that felt overly orchestrated.

Jumeirah Bali complemented their vision beautifully. Inspired by the royal gardens and water palaces of the Majapahit era, its stone architecture and tropical greenery created an elegant backdrop for the day. Michael and Asaelia brought their own European summer sensibility to it with white parasols, cane chairs, and touches of yellow and blue woven throughout the florals and styling.

It is difficult to rival a setting this immaculate, yet somehow the two looked completely at home within it. Their story unfolded through the estate’s archways and corridors, following the changing light from one quiet moment to the next.

Michael and Asaelia seemed entirely in their element. They made the most of the golden hour, moving easily between composed portraits and spontaneous moments. This celebration felt like entirely their realms, with selected people they call their own.

Their closest people were part of it all, keeping the celebration intimate, relaxed, and personal. In the end, beneath all the old-world elegance and understated grandeur, Michael and Asaelia simply seemed sure of what they wanted, and even more sure of each other.
