If there is one kind of love story everyone adores, it is the one built over time. There is something special about a relationship that sparks early, grows quietly, and comes together at just the right moment.
For Matthew and Bianca, it started simply. Introduced in Year 8, they found themselves meeting at a train station before school each morning. What began as a routine slowly turned into a friendship, and by Year 11, something more. It was never rushed, just naturally unfolding.
More than a decade later, that story took a playful turn at the rooftop of The Ritz-Carlton Perth. What Bianca thought was a quick stop to meet Matthew’s football friends before dinner turned out to be something else entirely. It was just the two of them overlooking the city, having a nice time. But in the middle of a photo, he dropped to one knee. And the rest is history!
That same sense of ease carried into their Bali destination wedding at Glamp Nusa Bali. Set against open ocean views and soft greenery, the day moved gently from a golden-hour ceremony into a warm, candlelit evening.
From where I stood behind the camera, everything felt calm, elegant, and full of warmth. Yet Bianca later shared how surreal it felt for her, walking down the aisle and being surrounded by all their loved ones.
From the way they looked at each other during the ceremony, to the laughter shared in speeches and the energy on the dancefloor, the moments came naturally. I found myself simply following their rhythm, capturing what was already there. That same feeling extended to their guests, who were all genuinely thrilled for the couple.
For me, this wedding felt like a true reflection of their journey. Steady, honest, and unfolding at its own perfect pace.
Kris.
