"Max turned out to be a gentle giant who adores & protects Olive like she’s his most precious jewel."

Don’t judge a book by its cover. And never think for a moment that a couple who looks unlikely to be together, are not perfect for each other.

The first time I saw pretty and petite Olive, I thought that I was in for a very girly shoot. You know, the very dreamy AXIOO signature style. So, could you imagine my surprise when she told me that she and Max wanted to shoot the pictorial somewhere among the rice paddies and the savannah? I mean, she knew that there would be bugs and insects there, right?

Then I met Max, who was big and tall. He looked totally badass and I thought that he was probably the coolest guy I’ve ever met. At that moment, I thought, “oh… so maybe he’s the reason they want to do the pictorial in a savannah. Yep. He must have totally put his foot down and made her choose this kind of location against her wishes to do something sweet.”

Judgements. Without realizing it, we stereotype and it’s easy for us to be judgemental towards things we don’t usually see… or something that seems unlikely to us.

Well guess what? During our trip, in one of the rice paddies, Olive crossed path with a grasshopper, which she picked up with her bare hands, and marvelled at for the longest time. She showed it to Max who cringed a little and moved away. And Max turned out to be a gentle giant who adores Olive and protects her like she’s his most precious jewel. See? People - and by people I mean me - might get the wrong first impression about them, but after a while, they will soon see that they are, in fact, perfect for each other.

Despite all that, Max and Olive trusted me completely. They trusted my judgements and choices on the concept and styling, and they allowed me to choose locations for them. I am very happy with how the video turned out. I hope they are too. And I hope you enjoy this video.

Cheers,

Robb.
