Sydney Side Up
Leo & Yovita saying yes
"...to be there with the love of my life, made the journey a sweet and memorable experience."

I met Yovita unintentionally in 2007. We were both students of Hospitality Management, but we sat in different classes and we had almost no possibility to meet. I bumped into her, and after that first meeting, my life has never been the same. We have been together for 7 years, 7 months, and 7 days before I proposed to her. She said ‘Yes!’ and a year and a half later, she made me the happiest man alive when she became my wife.

I’ve got a long list of things I love about my wife, but I won’t bore you with that today. Instead, I will tell you about how we ended up in Sydney for our pre-wedding portraits. Before finally settling on Sydney, Yovita and I were on the fence about where to go. We had different taste and preferences. One of us loved nature and scenery and wanted to go with that for the concept of the photo shoot, while the other was more passionate about iconic city landmarks and historic sites, which was actually an interest we share. Can you tell which one preferred what?

After finally setting our heart on Sydney and after three weeks of intense preparation for the shoot, we took off in February 2015. It was the first time I ever visited Sydney, and to be there with the love of my life, made the journey a sweet and memorable experience. We were nothing but a pair of lost travellers who relied completely on Google map and GPS to explore every corner of Sydney. It’s not the most effective way, I’ll give you that. However, it gave Yovi and I some pretty ridiculous experiences to laugh about. It was the first time any of us got to drive out of the country and even though we did keep our eye on the speed limit and gave full attention on the traffic regulations, we still got pulled over by the local rangers following what turned out to be a traffic violation. Nevertheless, it was a memorable experience. We’re even more grateful that aside from blessing us with a sunny day, a beautiful sky and a friendly weather throughout the photo session, God chose to bless us with a crazy talented photographer and his super awesome team.

Thank you Adi and the whole of AXIOO team, for giving my wife and I something memorable!

Here’s to your everlasting success.

Cheers,

Leo.
