Not all love stories begin with grand gestures or dramatic plots. Some of the best ones, in fact, begin quietly. Without much noise, love can bloom in the most unexpected places, in classrooms, in shared routines, and in growing up side by side.
That kind of love story is the foundation of Willy and Rivani’s journey, a relationship that has grown since high school. Their history feels deeply rooted, reflected in the way they look at each other and move so comfortably together.
From our very first concept meeting, there was something honest and transparent about them. They shared how much they loved one of my previous films shot in Korea. They were drawn to that warm, nostalgic K-drama feeling. As it turned out, they were able to travel there, which made the vision even clearer from the start.
For me, choosing a wedding film style should never begin with trends. It should begin with the couple’s personality. I always try to understand how they express love. Are they expressive or reserved? Playful or steady? Once I understand their love language, the execution naturally becomes more authentic.
With Willy and Rivani, everything aligned. The effortless warmth, the flowing mood, and even the smallest details, like a simple water bottle they carried, became meaningful because they reflected a journey that started simply and grew into something lasting.
In the end, a film is not about being cinematic. It is about being true. And their story already had everything it needed.
Wilson.
