I’ve come to realize that it’s futile to approach a love story as if I’m directing grand scenes. To truly frame a beautiful celebration, I prefer taking the front seat as an enthusiastic onlooker. As I watch and wait, the unique connection between two people always finds its way. I call it listening with the lens.

In the lovely setting of this Bali wedding, the couple’s connection spoke in its own beautiful language. Alice, the bride, carried this radiant, effortless warmth such a lovable character. She matched perfectly with Stephen, who was just as jolly and effortlessly at ease in their shared joy.

With them, I took the same approach I always do. Before you know it, the signs of their genuine, unscripted moments began to appear not only between the two of them, but also in every interaction with their surroundings and the people they love.

That unforced, natural grace is the true signature of a timeless connection. Locations, trends, and even the quality of light may change, yet emotions remain constant, and love always finds its way to the center.

It is my deepest honour to press the shutter at the very moment their hearts are speaking. That effortless truth is what I hope allows these photographs to live forever.
