G’day mate!
What do you think about when you hear the word Australia? Footy? Barbie in the arvo under the blue summer sky or a quick Maccas run for brekkie? Just in case you’re wondering, Barbie stands for BBQ, arvo stands for afternoon, Maccas for Mcdonald’s and brekkie for breakfast. Australians abbreviate these words apparently to sound less pretentious and more casual and we have got to agree they’re the most laid back people you’ll ever meet! We got the opportunity to experience all this last month in January when we brought our beach hut along to Australia. We were blessed with the perfect beach weather in Sydney and it’s beyond beautiful. Although some days in Melbourne felt like winter, we still loved it and oh we certainly enjoyed our cafes hopping there. You can't go to Melbourne and not experience their coffee culture which is an integral part of the Melbournian lifestyle. We loved the unique alleyways full of surprises at every turn with graffiti, modern and classic buildings, fixie bikes and fashionable hipsters.. Anyways enough of that and more on the expo.
It was a special time for us at AXIOO as it was our first ever exhibition outside of Indonesia and we received such overwhelming response from the brides to be. We first flew to Melbourne and then Sydney. We packed our suitcases with endless inspirations to create a glimpse of tropical paradise for the loved-up couples visiting our booth. We had initially hoped to inspire brides to be to hold their weddings in Bali but instead we're surprised that many of them actually wants us to shoot their weddings in OZ. We also had a wonderful time participating in the expo and getting to know all the other talented vendors who are the best in their field. It took us back right to our first expo in Indonesia when we first started; seriously we had a moment of déjà vu.
Special thanks to our friends at Australian Bridal Services for hosting us at the Ultimate Bridal Event Bridal Expo. They have staged the best bridal expo in the country for over 24 years. They made it fun, enjoyable and smooth for a newbie like us. Thanks again for your hospitality and warm welcome. Also, congratulations to the two couples who won the free honeymoon packages courtesy of Sofitel Bali.
The team truly had a BLAST and it was such a memorable trip for us and it’s only fair to say it’s our best moment in 2015 thus far. We hope we had brought something different down under to the couples wanting to freeze their special moments. Those wanting weddings with a different edge, you know who to look for now!
