Like a song, each love story carries its own tempo. Some arrive all at once in a dramatic beat, while others take their time to unfold.
Steven and Amanda’s story began quietly, and slowly. They first met during their school days. The spark was there for Steven from the start, but Amanda chose to keep things as friendship. Time passed, and life led them in different directions, until they found their way back to each other again in college.
What began as a second meeting slowly grew into something deeper, this time at the right moment.
That sense of timing carried into their wedding destination. Italy felt like a natural continuation of their story. At the 19th-century Villa Erba by Lake Como, everything felt perfect - almost as if the place itself had been waiting for them.
The preparation itself was relatively relaxed, as our team took the time to understand the scale and intention. We researched the venue, studied Lake Como, and carefully mapped out the rundown. With full creative trust from the couple, our focus was on translating their story honestly into a timeless wedding film.
The most memorable moments came during the boat shoot on Lake Como and within the beautiful architecture of Villa Erba. It felt refreshing, a different pace from what we are used to.
Aside from working as a small team of three, we also coordinated with two other photography teams from Indonesia and Italy. Constant adaptability and awareness were key!
Much like their journey, this wedding was eventful and full of adrenaline. Not everything comes easily, but when it finds its way back, it is something worth holding onto.
Robb.
