8 out of 10 couples will probably tell you that a destination wedding is a lot of hassle and quite stressful. Regardless of the kind of packages they are getting, there will be a certain challenge planning a wedding miles away from home.

That’s why we commend couple who are courageous enough to not only face these challenges head on, but also successfully pull an even of a lifetime worth remembering. It’s because of couples with such goals that Bali can continue to be put on the map as one of the world’s most coveted wedding destinations for many.

One of the couples we’re paying our salute to is Matthew and Marissa. They not only held a notably intimate warm wedding here in Bali, but incorporated a touch of local traditions that made us proud as one of the vendors involved.

With the verdant green nature as their background, Matthew and Marissa put a united front as a couple that stresses on the importance of moments. Their attires were simple yet elegant and their reception was a feast fit for Balinese royalties. Held in an open-air resort complex, the couple were ushered in by troops of Balinese dancers in their traditional costumes, ready to perform the special Fire and Kecak dance, among others.

Followed by a string of other fascinating entertainment and soon a meaningful dinner party, the wedding was a highlight of its own. Their wedding was colored with equal amount of joyful laughter and moving speeches, marking it as a successful milestone for the couple. Our verdict? It’s 10 out of 10 worth every hassle of a wedding destination.
