Some moments will never be repeated.

Love isnt always at first sight. I can tell you that. Vishal and I first met at work. Then we became partners. Business partners. There was a lot of work chemistry between us before there was any love. Were like Tom and Jerry. Hes the Pinky to my brain. He used to annoy the heck out of me (well, he still does!) but he always makes everything so fun. I guess that it didnt take long for us to realize that we could do so much more than friendship. Vishal proposed to me at the Butterfly Gardens in Changi Airport while I was in Singapore for business. He surprised me at the airport just as I was on my way back to Bali, where we lived.

Were both wedding planners, so youd think that planning our wedding would be a breeze for us. We wished. But since weve had our share of bridezillas and groomzillas, we vowed that we wont ever be one of those. So, we entrusted the whole wedding planning in the hands of our team, our friends at Eventures, who have become more like family to us after working on weddings after weddings for a few years now. All we asked was that we were surrounded by the people dearest to us, including those we frequently bump into at events, and to give them the time of their lives. Then, we surrendered everything to the Eventures team. (Although, Im not going to lie to you, Vishal did have his Groomzilla moments.) And what a great job the team did for us! Everyone was comfortable, well accommodated and they had a great time. The pool party was one of the best I have ever been to! Everyone was either wet or inside the pool! We had loads of floats, a balloon release, shisha pipes, coconuts, and the boys ended up playing football by the beach! Ive got to admit that at first I was a bit skeptical on how things would go since my side of the family have no idea about Indian weddings (they are originally from Makassar), and Indian weddings can be a lot to take for some people. However, it all turned out great and my family actually enjoyed all the Indian music!

We were both so hyped up on adrenaline during the three-day celebration. Vishal partied until sunrise almost every night, but I obviously needed some beauty sleep for the first 2 days. After that, it was singing and dancing all the way. I really couldnt ask for a more perfect wedding celebration!

Being around weddings on a day-to-day basis, I thought that we would be stressing out to make sure that everything went perfectly. We know that glitches are to be expected, but we also wanted to make sure that everything ran smoothly. We needed to constantly remind ourselves to have fun and that our team has got this, because to get married is a once-in-a-lifetime event and we wanted to soak in as much memory as we can from the celebration. Some moments will never be repeated. And to this day, I still find myself missing all the pampering and the attention sometimes!

Vishal and I are just so grateful for all the love and support we received from our family and friends. Were so lucky to have met Dre on this occasion and to get to know him personally. To have him at our wedding was truly an honour! Were especially thankful for the all the hard work and all the effort of our Eventures family. We really couldnt ask for a better team!

Thanks again, everyone. Vishal and I are just super lucky to have all of you. Wish us luck on this new journey. Its going to be a fun ride we can just feel it!

Love,
