The East Coast Sunset
Tommy & Mega saying yes
In Bali, my weekdays are about exciting adventures & my weekends are filled with magical weddings.

The last impulsive shopping I did were a couple of new lenses and a pair of imported shoes. My wife refused to talk to me for the whole day because of that. So I learned, that buying something impulsive (especially photography related) without wife’s consent is not a good idea. Unless it’s a bunch of flowers with ribbon or a pint of chocolate ice cream.

Another impulsive decision I remember, was when we moved to Bali. My wife was 7 months pregnant by then. We had no housing, no vehicles, no savings, no relatives. We just had an opportunity. We didn’t consider our future. We just thought it’d be fun to chase our dreams when opportunity arrives. It turned out to be one of the best decision ever. Because here in Bali, my weekdays are about exciting adventures and my weekends are filled with magical weddings.

There’s another impulsive decision I don’t regret. It was during Tommy’s and Mega’s pre wedding photoshoot and we were heading West to the planned beach for sunset shot. I told them, “Let’s go somewhere else. Somewhere new to me, somewhere new to all of us.” They were so cool about it and said, “Let’s go!” The car then made a U-turn. It’s heading to the East coast now, which is facing the opposite direction from the sunset.

We arrived at a quiet beach. Calm and relaxed. The opera of colours was happening at the other side of the island, being a giant crowd magnet. There were few subtle rays that made their way here to the East sky, and I really liked them. I think they were elegant and graceful.

I’m pleased with how the photos turned out, and most importantly, I’m glad that Tommy and Mega are happy too. Thank you Tommy and Mega for the fun photo shoot. Thank you for being lovely to each others. And thank you for trusting me and my impulsive decision.

Cheers,

Adi.
